Each year across the country, there are more than 4,000 deaths and 20,000 injuries attributed to fires. An overwhelming number of these incidents—as high as 82%—occurred in the home. Sadly, many of these horrific fires and injuries are preventable. It goes without saying you should have fire alarms on every floor—and check them to make sure they are working—and there are additional things you can do to reduce the chances of fire in your home.
