Your local Farm Bureau crop insurance specialist will work with you to tailor a protection plan to meet your needs.

Contact your local Farm Bureau office or our state crop specialist for more information on how Farm Bureau Insurance can help protect your needs as a farmer. And don't forget to check out the sales closing dates for your crops.

Here are a few additional types of crop insurance we provide:

  1. Crop Hail Coverage
  2. Tobacco, Barley, Wheat, Corn, Soybeans, Cotton, Tomatoes, Sweet Corn, Cantaloupes, Watermelons, Peppers, Pumpkins, Hay, Straw and more.
  3. This policy provides protection against yield reduction caused by hail, fire and lightning. Covers fire that may not be covered by an MPCI, CRC or RA policy. This policy insures up to the full value of the crop and provides acre-by-acre protection.

A Crop Hail policy can be written almost anytime during the growing season with deductibles that allow for self-insurance at lower premiums and flexible premium payment options.

We offer a 10 percent discount for VFB farmowner policyholders.

  1. Umbrella Insurance

Umbrella Policies are available for farmers to provide catastrophe protection against financially crippling lawsuits or claims. Farm Bureau Insurance also offers a Personal Umbrella Policy and a Commercial Umbrella Policy.
