State Fair of Virginia

Farm Bureau Insurance has had a long-standing relationship with the State Fair of Virginia. The SFVA core mission and our passion statement—‘We cultivate Virginia’—is a natural fit with Virginia Farm Bureau.

The SVFV president in 1906, Henry Stuart, went on to become governor of Virginia. After that he became the first president of  Virginia Farm Bureau, so the two organizations have been linked since the beginning.

In recent years, Farm Bureau Insurance has been the title sponsor of the Racing Pigs attraction at the fair. In addition, Virginia Farm Bureau has recently entered into a 20-year sponsorship agreement with SFVA.

The main exhibition hall at The Meadow, the Caroline County site that has become the home to the State Fair of Virginia is known as Farm Bureau Center.
